Artisans Shop Locations

CHI-IAG Illinois Artisans Shop, James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph Street, Suite 2-200, Chicago, IL 60601. Telephone: 312.814.5321. Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm. This showcase shop in the heart of downtown Chicago offers one of the most diverse selections of fine craft work in the midwest. Included are ceramics, fiber arts, metal work, sculpture, photography, and designer jewelry.

Illinois Artisans Shop Exhibits & Programs

SIAGSouthern Illinois Artisans Shop & Visitors Center at Rend Lake, I-57 west of Exit 77, 14967 Gun Creek Trail, Whittington, IL 62897-1000. Telephone: 618.629.2220. Hours: open 7 days a week 9am - 5pm. A spectacular 1700 square foot facility housing an Artisans Shop, Souvenirs of Illinois Shop, and the Southern Illinois Art Gallery. The Artisans Shop shows crafts by more than 700 artisans from every corner of the state. Works include wood carving, ceramics, blown glass, quilts, country crafts, nature painting and sculpture.


Museum Shop Locations

ISM The Museum Store at the Illinois State Museum, Spring & Edwards Streets, Springfield IL 62706; Phone: 217.782.0979; Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10:00am-5pm; Sunday, noon-5pm. This new enterprise merges the Lincoln Home Artisans Shop and the ISM Gift Shop. The Museum Store presents the best of both shops in a spacious new location. Customers will find a collection of gifts celebrating the craft-making heritage of Illinois including baskets, dolls, weaving, glass, jewelry, and wearables. Dinosaur figures, educational games, Native American items, CDs and videos, fine art collectables, and books fill the shelves of the new store which boasts an expanded inventory of gifts relating to the science, culture, and history of Illinois.
The Museum Store features Special Weekend Craft Events.

DMMDickson Mounds Museum Gift Shop, Dickson Mounds Museum, 10956 North Dickson Mounds Road (located between Lewistown and Havana, Illinois), Lewistown, IL 61542. Telephone: 309.547.3721. Hours: Daily, 8:30am - 5pm. Focusing on the Native American theme of this museum, gifts include Indian-made pottery, jewelery, drums and pipes. Also featured are educational games, toys, and kits plus and impressive selection of books on American Indians, archeology and the natural history of Illinois.
