The preparator and the curator picked up Hunt's artwork at his studio and brought it to the Chicago Gallery in a truck. The registrar and preparator unpack it and write reports describing its condition. When the borrowed items are returned after the exhibit, the registrar will check these records to be sure the artwork is in the same condition it was when it arrived. The registrar and curator then help the preparator install the art in the galleries and arrange and adjust the lighting. For the final touch, the preparator mounts (hangs) the labels and signs. Meanwhile, the Director of Development is advertising the exhibit in the newspapers, and on radio and television, and is ordering the food catering for the opening reception.
