Laura Slobe had her first solo show at the age of twenty. The Art Institute established a prize in her memory, The Laura Slobe Memorial Prize for Sculpture. She exhibited regularly during the 1930s, with exhibitions in the annual American Exhibition, Chicago Art Exhibition, and at the Katherine Kuh Gallery in Chicago.
