Brown Bag Lecture: A Quick Look at 3000 Years of Maker Spaces

Maker spaces have increased in popularity in recent years as well-equipped, safe environments for community creativity. Joe Deken, best-selling technology author, professor, and former museum curator will speak on the long history of this new "fad." This program is part of the ISM Brown Bag Lecture Series. On the third Wednesday of each month, a different speaker and topic will be featured at Noon. The program takes place at the ISM Research & Collections Center at 1011 E. Ash Street in Springfield, 217-785-0037 (entrance on 10 1/2 Street). Visitors are welcome to bring their own lunch. Free and open to the public.
