Dickson Mounds Museum is offering a new monthly program series for mothers and their young children in 2013.  Fun for Moms & Tots will be held on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30am in the Museum’s Discovery Center.  Some activities may be held outside weather permitting.  On April 4, 2013 Moms & Tots will help plant a tree on the Museum’s grounds.  Afterwards, tots will have an opportunity to create paintings using sticks and leaves as their paintbrushes. 
 
Admission is free and registration is not required.  Dads and grandparents are also welcome to participate in the program.  Older siblings who may be on spring break for the week are also encouraged to attend this month’s program.  Activities for older kids will be available.  Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and playing outdoors in the dirt.  Light refreshments will be served.  This program is sponsored by Havana National Bank.  If you are interested in becoming a program sponsor, please contact Curator of Education Christa Christensen at 309-547-3721.
