Dickson Mounds Museum will host our first ever Weekend Knap-In Saturday and Sunday, March 1, 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. The public is welcome to view flint knapping demonstrations and ask questions about this ancient form of technology. Participants may learn about the different techniques used by several craftsmen and see their stone tool creations. Blades from the Mackinaw-Aldrich Cache discovered in 1916 near Mackinaw in Tazewell County will also be on display. Find out more ...
