At Dickson Mounds on Thursday, September 5, 2013, the Tots and their Big Person program will focus on Dirt. Tots will learn fun facts about different types of dirt and how important it is for human survival. Participants will enjoy exploring the dirt and may find critters or pieces of the past.
Admission is free and registration is not required. Dress appropriately for the outdoors. Light refreshments will be served. This program is sponsored by Havana National Bank. The Illinois State Museum - Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
