About the Illinois Artisans Program

The Illinois Artisans Program has 1400 artist members working in all craft media from traditional and ethnic to contemporary and folk. Crafts represented include basketry, ceramics, book arts, fiber, glass, wearables, dolls, jewelry, lace, forge and metal work, leather, paper, painting, quilts, photography, sculpture, prints, and wood. Juries are held twice a year to select new artists. Once selected, artists may continue to provide work for the shops on a regular basis. To apply, artists must send slides of their work with a completed application at the appointed time.
