Class Bivalvia : Subclass Paleoheterodonta : Genus Toxolasma

Toxolasma texasensis (Texas Lilluput)
The interior of the Texas lilliput mussel shell has a white nacre that may be tinted with salmon in the beak cavity. The pseudocardinal teeth are thin, compressed, and elevated. The lateral teeth in this specimen are curved. The shell is relatively thin.
