Potamilus capax (Fat Pocketbook)
The interior of the Fat pocketbook mussel shell has white nacre, sometimes tinted with pink or salmon. The beak cavity is deep. Pseudocardinal teeth (upperleft band in image) are thin and compressed. The lateral teeth (above the date on this shell) are also thin and curved. Notice the line of the hinge is S-shaped.
