Pleurobema sintoxia (Round Pigtoe)
The interior of the round pigtoe mussel shell has white, pink, or rose-colored nacre. The pseudocardinal teeth are well-developed. The lateral teeth are straight. The beak cavity varies from shallow (medium-sized rivers) to large (large rivers).
