Genus Amblema

Class Bivalvia : Subclass Paleoheterodonta : Genus Amblema

Amblema plicata (Threeridge)
The interior of the threeridge mussel shell has very iridescent pearly white nacre, often stained. The pseudocardinal teeth are large and serrated. The lateral teeth are serrated and straight to curved. The beak cavity has moderate depth.
