Alasmidonta marginata (Elktoe)
The interior of the elktoe mussel shell has bluish white nacre, sometimes with a salmon tinge near the beak. The pseudocardinal teeth are thin and elongate. The lateral teeth appear as only a swelling on the hinge line. The beak cavity is rather deep.
