Genus Actinonaias

Class Bivalvia : Subclass Paleoheterodonta : Genus Actinonaias

Actininaias ligamentina (Mucket)
The interior of the mucket mussel shell has white nacre, sometimes tinged with pink, that is iridescent toward the posterior end. The pseudocardinal teeth are large, somewhat elevated, and serrated. The lateral teeth are thin, moderately long, and straight-to curved.
