Perithemis tenera (Eastern Amberwing)
Total length = 25mm
male
The small Eastern Amberwing is distinguished by its yellow-streaked wings and brown body. The females' wings are spotted with brown.
This common little dragonfly lives near ponds, lakes, and quiet streams. When resting and flying, it tends to curve its abdomen under and raise its wings, making it resemble a wasp.
