The large Royal River Cruiser has emerald green eyes, brown thorax with iridescent green, and a black abdomen marked with pairs of yellow spots.
This species lives around lakes and large rivers. It gets its name from its daily habit of flying over the shallow water. It is commonly seen from June to September.
