Senecia plattensis (Ragwort)
Ragwort grows in dry upland prairie and sandy soils. It blooms with small (1/2" to 1") yellow flowers from midspring to early summer. The plant can reach two feet in height. The stems are usually unbranched until they divide into flower stalks that form a cluster. The stem leaves are lobed and small, while the basal leaves are serrated, lobed, and stalked.
