Pycnanthemum verticillatum (var. pilosum) (Hairy Mountain Mint
This specimen of Hairy Mountain Mint lacks its lower leaves, but shows how the stem branches into secondary leafy stems. The flower clusters at the top are flat. This plant grows in dry to moist prairies and produces white flowers from midsummer to early fall.
