Muhlenbergia frondosa (Muhly)
Muhly is a prairie grass that grows to three feet tall in moist prairies. It has heavily branching thin stems, long, narrow pointed alternate leaves, and greenish to purple flower heads made up of individual spikelets enclosed by bracts. Seeds are less than 1/2 inch long with long pointy tips
