Morus rubra (Red Mulberry)
Red mulberry grows to 60 feet in moist soils from southeast Minnesota eastward to southern Ontario, south through Florida and west into Texas.
The dark, dull green leaves are saw-toothed, pointed, ovate, and often irregularly lobed. Tiny flowers grow in clusters and the fruit is a 1" mulberry, made up of many tiny, round sweet fruits containing one seed.
