Potted Star Flower Quilt, ca. 1940
Made by Sally Briskey Stutzman (1890 - 1951)
Sally chose a complicated pieced block that is more representational than most Amish quilts. The curved stems are appliqued and the flowers are pieced of diamond shapes.
The quilting designs include feathered circles, standing tulips, and diamond grids. The quilt has a peach cotton backing, cotton batting, and applied blue cotton binding.
Size: 69 by 83 inches
