True Lover's Knot on Point Quilt, ca. 1930
Made by Anna Swartentruber Yoder (1877 - 1962)
The block design is made from four Bow Tie blocks and Anna may have come across this idea in a newspaper or quilt pattern catalog of the era. Wiht tiny stitches, Anne covered the entire surface of the quilt with a variety of quilt designs. She used feathered circles with grid centers in the plain blocks, concentric double-line squares in the pieced blocks, and feathered vines in the borders.
Size: 70 by 75 inches
