The Parking Lot
Rowena Fry (1898 - 1990)

Rowena Fry was born in Alabama and received her art training at the Watkins Institute in Nashville, Tennessee, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Hubert Ropp School of Art in Chicago. She worked in oil, watercolor, and print making. She exhibited in group exhibits and two one-woman exhibits in Chicago. In 1938-39, for the WPA, she created murals and paintings in Lake Forest, Illinois. Fry taught painting in her home for many years.

Watercolor paint is a transparent medium that is painted on wet and dry paper with various brush techniques.
