Employing telephone wire as the core of her basket coil instead of a reed or other natural material, Wiss has twined a fireworks display of pulsing color with waxed linen. White threads crackle humorously, accenting a form that is accessible and, indeed, inviting to the touch in its line, proportion, and distinctive texture.
