Calendar and container for black powder

The surface of the powder flask is covered with carving, designating astronomic units, days, and the most important feast days. It was attached to the belt of a hunter.

Yenisei region, Turukhansk Territory, late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Mammoth bone.
