||In 1889, Henry Rose also applied for a patent on a disk cultivator (number 396,895). This diagram is of the disk-cleaning mechanism. He described it as "Chisel-acting leaners, operated by simply rocking the foot while guidng the gangs. The most perfect diveice for the purpose ever produced and the only one which effectually cleans the disks under all conditions."
