1882 Rose Harrow Detail Diagram
||This detail is from Henry Rose's improved disk harrow patent application number 261,875. It shows the side elevation of the bracket. The improvement was a set of rods that were bent to match the surface curve of the each disk. The rods hung from the slide or bar from which the rollers hung. The rods scraped off the dirt that stuck to the disks so the farmer would not have to stop and scrape them by hand, thus losing valuable daylight.
