On Thursday, August 1, 2013, the Tots and their Big Person program will focus on frogs. Tots will learn fun facts about frogs, hear the calls of local frog species, and see frog specimens from the museum collection. Participants will also enjoy a hands-on craft activity.
Admission is free and registration is not required. As it is summer break, older siblings are welcomed to attend the program. Light refreshments will be served. The Illinois State Museum - Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
