Where Are the Wild Things?

Annual Halloween Event

Admission at the door: $2 per trick-or-treater, $1 for accompanying adults

The Illinois State Museum has joined the genH Coalition and WDBR 103.7 FM Radio to present the 24th annual Where Are the Wild Things?, a fun and educational trick-or-treat event. Your "wild thing" will have a blast learning about nature, the human body, and how to stay safe and active this Halloween through games, hands-on activities, and crafts. Activities will include seeing live insects, exploring a bat cave, learning about healthy hearts, healthy cooking demonstration, photos with a Friendly Witch (additional $2 per photo), and much more.

Every child will receive a grab bag full of toys and prizes and will be eligible to win other fantastic door prizes.This year's grand door prizes will include a boy's and girl's bicycle (donated by Target and Meijer) and a Wii (donated by Best Buy).

Live entertainment in Thorne Deuel Auditorium:
1:00 pm - The Glow-in-the-Dark Show presented by Comedic Juggler Troy Roark
2:00 pm - Magician Eldon Roark
3:00 & 4:00 pm - Salsa with Julio Barrenzuela

The genH (generation Healthy!) Coalition is a non-profit, grassroots Coalition comprised of health professionals, educators, fitness experts, parents and concerned citizens dedicated to improving the health of every child.
