Among the buildings surrounded by water in the flood, now receding, was the Treadway Rod and Gun Club quarters where Kenneth Bowman and family resided near Phelps Ditch in the Sangamon Valley. A horse took refuge on the small space of dry ground shown in this picture by Kenneth DeSollar.
